Writing for Business
It can be difficult to write BUT
it sure feels great once you have written!
Business people have to be good writers, whether they like it or not, with the advent of computers and email. And with so much communication being done both on paper and electronically, it makes sense to hone your writing skills. By learning the basics of good writing, people find they communicate better and feel less intimidated by any writing project.
This course is taught by Ilana Traverse, a skilled trainer with a passion for helping others learn to write their best.
Write on the Mark™
Translate what’s in your head into a written document that your intended audience will read, understand and respond to in the way you want.
This one-day course introduces participants to proven, timesaving methods for writing business documents (e.g., letters, memos, and email) that get results. Participants will learn to plan, organize, and format attention-getting documents; communicate their ideas clearly and concisely; project an appropriate tone; use correct grammar and punctuation; and edit for accuracy and accomplishment of purpose.
In-class skill practice and instructor feedback on learners’ writing samples reinforce the course content. Portions of this course, for example, how to plan and organize documents, can be offered as separate workshops. Learn more about Write on the Mark
Grammar Refresher
