About Us

The Corporate Educator was founded by Abby Marks Beale to help busy professionals work smarter, faster and just plain better. She started this training company in 1988 (formerly called The Reading Edge) to help busy people read better and faster. Her programs grew in popularity and over the years added other pertinent business productivity topics like email management and etiquette, and time and stress management. In 2006, she changed the company name to The Corporate Educator to better reflect the company's wide-range of corporate training offerings.

Our mission is to give business professionals the skills they need to function at peak levels of performance and personal satisfaction - skills they wish had been taught in school. To round out this concept, we have added topics like career coaching, organizing, financial management and business writing using the services of other experts in these fields. We are a one-stop resource that corporate buyers can use when deciding and scheduling soft-skills training.

All of our content-rich programs are designed using accelerated and experiential learning techniques which makes being a participant educationally valuable and fun. Many report they get those elusive "AHA" moments in our classes.

The Corporate Educator serves companies of all sizes, nonprofits, associations, government agencies, schools and individuals with services and products that are practical and immediately useful to work and life.

We offer training services and speaking engagements along with our self-study learning products - online, books, computer CDs and audio recordings.
